The CRYONES art book was presented at the “SENS” bookstore on Khreshchatyk

A presentation of the CRYONES art book was held at the “SENS” bookstore on International Children’s Day. This is a collection of 15 “non-childish children’s stories” about young heroes who survived the trauma of war, transforming their greatest fears into strength.

It contains works of art, commentary by qualified psychologists and art curators, and is additionally accompanied by exhibitions in iconic locations across Europe.

The authors play with the word “crayons,” which means colored pencils in English, transforming it into “cry ones” – “those who cry.”

Art book CRYONES

The art book tells the stories of Vladyk, who shared his story at his mother’s grave; Margarita, who escaped from Mariupol; Andrii, whose parents were burned in a car by the Russians; and Bohdan, who managed to flee Bakhmut during intense fighting.
I am certain that our children are not only able to endure their tragedies but also to grow into strong, healthy, and happy individuals who will change the world for the better.

They continue to paint, dream, and create — even in the hardest times. They possess enough courage and resilience to prove, through their own example, that the strength of the spirit can overcome the most difficult challenges.
Emphasized Oksana Lebedeva, the founder of Gen.Ukrainian, in her speech
The Ukrainian human rights organization "Center for Civil Liberties," under the auspices of Nobel laureate Oleksandra Matviychuk, along with Monobank, Mastercard, and the creative union Tablefruit, partnered on this publication. All proceeds from the sale will go toward the psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainian children affected by the war.
Representatives of the President’s Office, politicians, educators, and public figures attended the presentation. The event was moderated by Sevgil Musaeva, editor-in-chief of "Ukrainian Pravda." Participants also joined the public discussion, "Stolen Childhood: How to Fight for Justice for Ukrainian Children."
