Gen.Ukrainian at the conference "The Right to Care: Equal Access to Mental Health Services"
On October 10, the 5th Psychological Conference "The Right to Care: Equal Access to Mental Health Support Services" took place on the occasion of World Mental Health Day.
The event focused on finding solutions to ensure equal access to psychological support for everyone — from children to veterans — and on discussing the current challenges and best practices for mental health recovery in Ukraine.
Oksana Lebedieva, founder of Gen. Ukrainian, spoke on behalf of the organization and presented the psychoeducational intensive approach of Gen.Camp. This format of support helps children who have lived through occupation, lost loved ones, or experienced ambiguous loss to rebuild emotional resilience, regain a sense of safety, and develop the ability to adapt to new realities.
It was an honor for our organization to be part of this professional community that brings together experts, initiatives, and organizations united by one goal — to support the mental health of Ukrainians. We sincerely thank Valeriia Palii, Vice President of the Ukrainian Psychological Association and Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Psychology at Kyiv School of Economics, for organizing the conference and inviting us to participate.
Our gratitude also goes to the Women's Power of Ukraine civic movement and Kadygrob Volodymyr for an inspiring and thoughtful discussion.
